History of Pol-Eko
Pol-Eko was founded in the 1990s, and has been making rapid advancements in the manufacture of scientific equipment over the past 25 years. They started by producing thermostatic cabinets and refrigerators – products which remain among their flagship range.
From there they have rapidly pH and oxygen meters, ovens and incubators, freezers, sterilisers, fume hoods and furniture.
With a solid range of scientific equipment in their inventory, Pol-Eko then developed a highly sought after range of digital controllers which are now fitted to much of their range. The Smart and Smart PRO controllers have become extremely popular in labs around the world due to their innovative recording and monitoring systems. The controllers allow real-time temperature and event data to be downloaded via USB, LAN and Wifi, to a laptop, or even to a mobile phone. The Smart and Smart PRO controllers provide data and reporting in a way that revolutionises lab work, and streamlines work processes for accurate and reliable record keeping and accountability.
Smart and Smart PRO controllers
Since 2019, much of the equipment from Pol-Eko can be fitted with either the Smart or Smart PRO controllers. Whichever option you use, the controllers feature a full-colour touch screen which can be operated with gloves on, and feature USB and LAN ports for data transfer.
The controllers are designed to be easy to use, with an intuitive icon based interface. The controllers are used to easily set, change and monitor temperature programs, while providing functions such as ramp times and programmable presets. They record events such as temperature fluctuations and door opening times, and make the data easily downloadable for reporting and monitoring.
All of the controllers have alarm bars monitoring temperature, and easy to read displays that are designed to be easily visible from across the lab. The current time and date is always displayed, as is relevant information such as program status, fan operation and internal temperatures.
Ultimate customization
All laboratories have different requirements, and often an out-of-the-box approach simply won’t work. Pol-Eko understand this, and offer customisation across their full range of laboratory equipment. They offer options for wheels and castors on most of their equipment, and often customise options such as shelving, housing materials, and interior coatings, to suit the requirements of your lab. Fume hoods and safety cabinets can be kitted out with bespoke designs including water and gas taps, and electrical sockets; while much of the range can be fitted with a Smart or Smart PRO digital controller.
